Yesterday was awesome!! My mom really wanted to zipline and work on her fear of heights and I wanted to as well. I ended up winning a free zipline trip so I couldn't back out! I am such a chicken when it comes to heights! It was an incredible experience and I am so glad I felt brave enough to do it. Working more on not being fearful and conquering fears: emotional and physical! And super proud of my mom for jumping of forts in the sky to zipline...zip on!
It was a long day, taking all the folks to Hilo, but everyone did it and even Sawyer did well. Matt was a fabulous tour guide. He played at the zoo while my mom, dad, mother in law and step father in law hit the lines. We went over waterfalls and rivers and did 8 lines in all. It was amazing and the gal helping assist was also named Sarah and from Aptos- random! The last line was a half mile long- which doesn't seem that long, but wow. Zipping that line with wind and rain and being that high up in the air over a raging river was exhilarating and a little freaky! No swears were yelled and my pants stayed dry though ;)
On the way to Hilo we also
Stopped at a beautiful lookout spot. The Waikoloa Lookout!
It was a long day but amazing and thanks to Shonee for driving us around the Island and in a killer rain storm on the way home. Also thanks to my car for putting up with me humming the Jurrassic Park song all day. So many amazing views and part of the movie was filmed were we drove. ;)
Today was also epic!
I finally swam in the ocean inhibited and also swam with turtles and one touched me!
That's my first go-pro shot ha!
Sawyer loved boogie boarding in the ocean as is even standing up on it now! Oh dear!! He is a gem and so fearless. Love him!
They both played hard.
Enjoyed a luau tonight as well. The marriott does a great show!!! Don't let Matts face fool you. You should have see. Him hula-ing! Wow!
Love this guy!
A double rainbow and this to end the day!
Mahalo! So far Kona is my favorite place in Hawaii. I've been to Maui and Honolulu and Kona is a little less touristy to me which I think is why I like it. So beautiful!
